3 Year Olds Newsletter

Dear Parent,
This week we will be doing some farm themed activities in preparation for our field trip on Thursday to Benton Farm. If you have not returned your permission slip yet, please do so tomorrow with payment in the form of cash or check made out to Benton Farm. Remember we will not have class at school on Thursday; we will meet at the farm by 9:30 AM. Unfortunately I will not be there because I have a principal training to attend but Mrs. Diane and Mrs. Whitney will be with you. Our learning goals this week are: I can listen to a story, I can use picture clues to guess the farm animal, I can cut with scissors, I can guess which farm item is missing, I can sort pasta by shape and tell which group has more, I can make a tractor with shapes, I can listen to a farmer, I can choose a pumpkin, I can feed a farm animal, I can help shear a sheep, I can pet farm animals properly and I can go on a tractor wagon ride.

Reminders
October 2- Field trip to Benton Farm. We will meet there at 9:30AM. No regular class that day. You do not have to be Virtus trained to attend the field trip.
October 9- No school for professional development
October 11- Craft Show from 9:00-3:00. Entrance fee is $5 for those over 10 years of age.
October 14- Pumpkin Carving from 6:30-8:00PM Bring a pumpkin and a snack to share. RSVP if possible.
October 16- Dine to Donate at Chick-fil-a in Ft. Wright from 4:00-9:00 PM
October 17- Trunk or Treat 6:00-8:00 PM in the parking lot. Spread the word! Hayrides, a DJ and candy for free. Food and kid's games for sale. Please let me know if you are going to use your car to hand out candy. Spots are limited. 
October 23- Grandparents' Day. (AM class 10:30-11:30) (PM class 2:00-3:00) Information and reservation forms are coming home in your child's folder tomorrow.
