4th & 5th Grade Newsletter

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing Spring Break.  We are now in the home stretch of this school year.

Spelling - Long "u" words. followed by Quadgraphs patterns (4 letters that make a unique sound), Word families, and finally Unit 4 review.

Grammar - Helping verbs used with main verbs (Modal Auxiliaries), followed by Irregular verb tenses, Progressive verb tense, and finally Unit 4 review.

Reading - Everyone chose a book to read and answer questions on their own. Each day we will read one chapter and work through the reading packet.  This will be done in school, not for homework.  

Regular homework - study spelling words, practice math facts, and read 15 minutes.

Math - 4th and 5th are completing their respected lessons on geometry.  This will be followed by measurement and review over all the math. Lessons in the math book will continue to be done in school, but may have to be finished for homework.

Science - Waves of Sound unit.  Then we will finish up with a plant unit.

Social Studies - 13 Colonies and American Revolution..

Religion - Easter, Divine Mercy, Election of our new Pope, and virtues.
