3 Year Olds Newsletter
Dear Parent,
This week we are getting into the heart of Spring by discussing living and nonliving things. We will be reading Do You Know Which Ones Will Grow? We will be starting some seeds and discussing what makes them grow. We will also look at plant parts.
We will also continue to learn about Lent and to look at the Stations of the Cross in church focusing on finding those who are being kind to Jesus. If you are in church, ask your child to show them to you. They have been so excited about looking at them. Mrs. Wells ( our Second/Third grade teacher) has a son who has made wooden resurrection sets. The larger one has all the pieces to make the Stations of the Cross. The smaller set is for Holy Week and Easter. You can check them out and order at wellswoods.com if you are interested.
Our learning goals are: I can listen to a story, I can sort things that grow and things that don't grow, I can tell what a plant needs to grow, I can plant a seed, I can sort seeds by size, I can put together a puzzle of a plant, I can identify baby animals, I can trace numbers, and I can identify if someone is helping Jesus.

Tips for Parents from Preschool Teachers
Tip #12. No ifs. Make requests in language that assumes cooperation. "If you finish putting away your crayons, we can go to the park," suggests that perhaps your child won't clean up his crayons. Try instead: "When you put your crayons away, we'll go to the park."
Have a blessed week!
Sincerely,
Pamela Nunnelley
