Mar 2 - Mar 6, 2026 - 3 Year Olds Newsletter

3 Year Olds Newsletter

Dear Parent,
This week we are learning about keeping our teeth healthy. Today your child brought home a toothbrushing chart. If your child brushes his/her teeth twice a day for a week and marks it on the chart, he/she may return it for a prize. We sorted items that keep our teeth healthy and made mouths full of teeth. We also learned how to play a cavity game and a toothbrushing song.Your child also brought home the second week of Lent prayer. We are saying it at school and hope you will say it with your child at home. On Thursday we will count teeth and match to the correct number, practice tracing lines and look at a magazine about teeth. We will also make apple smiles for snack.

Reminders

March 13th- Fish Fry #4 from 4:30-7:30.
March 24th- Quarter Auction. Doors open at 6:00. Please plan to attend with a friend!

Tip #11 for Parents From Preschool Teachers
Give structured choices. If, for example, your 3-year-old refuses to sit at the dinner table, you might offer the choice of sitting and getting dessert -- or not sitting and missing out on a treat. "At first, your child may not make the right choice, but eventually he will, because he'll see that the wrong choice isn't getting him what he wants," says Buss. Just be sure, if you want your child to choose option A, that option B is less attractive.

Have a blessed week!
Sincerely,
Pamela Nunnelley
