Dear Parent,

Tomorrow we will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day at Preschool. Wear your green!

We will create a graph to see where everyone wore green and read about St. Patrick. We will sort Lucky Charms marshmallows and eat Lucky Charms cereal. We will make pictures with pom poms, make letters with popsicle sticks and make pictures with magnetic shapes. We will even play a shape domino game. On Thursday we will be talking about Spring. We will make our Week 3 symbol for Lent and we will also have a visit from the Kenton County Library.

March 21-Our Fish Fry theme will be Eagles; Creedence Clearwater Revival & 60’s & 70’s Country #1 Hits.

March 28– Our Fish Fry theme will be Beach Party Hit Songs.

Please remember to send in desserts with your child, either homemade or store bought. All proceeds from the fish fry go to the school!

Tips for Parents from Preschool Teachers

Tip #10 Use sticker charts and rewards judiciously. "If your child is always working for the reward, he won't learn the real reasons for doing things -- that he should pick up his toys because family members pitch in," says Buss. Best bet: Reserve rewards for finite endeavors, such as potty training, but avoid offering them for everyday things, such as dressing himself or brushing his teeth.

Our Easter Egg hunt is coming soon. Please send in small items that can fit in Easter Eggs, candy, bouncy balls, tatoos, balloons, etc. Let me know if you are interested in filling eggs for us at home.
