3 Year Olds Newsletter

Dear Parent,

This week we are reading the book The Mitten by Jan Brett. It is one of my favorites for the Winter. On Tuesday we will be learning The Mitten Song, sorting mittens by big, medium and small, decorating mittens, matching spots on mittens to the numbers one thru four, ordering the animals that go into the mitten and learning about the Baptism of Jesus. On Thursday we will practice The Mitten song, practice tracing different kinds of lines and our names, match paper mittens, count pompoms onto mittens to match the numbers 1 thru 10, review body parts by touching them with our gloves or mittens and lace paper mittens to bring home to retell the story.. Miss Lise from the Kenton County Library will also be coming on Thursday. We have also been learning about syllables using our names.

Reminders

Registration is open for preschool for the 2026-2027 school year. Current school families have priority registration for this week, then I will open registration up to the public. The link is below:

February 1- St. Patrick School Open House from 12:00-2:00 for grades Preschool thru Seventh Grade. Please share this information with family and friends. You are our best advertisement!

February 12- Valentines' Day party at 10:30 for AM class (17 students) and 2:00 for PM class (10 students). Parents and siblings are welcome. We will make Valentine boxes in class.

February 20- Lenten Fish Fry #1 from 4:30-7:30. More information to come. All are welcome to dine or volunteer.
