3 Year Olds Newsletter

Dear Parent,

I apologize for forgetting to send out a newsletter last week. We read White Rabbit's Color Book and did activities with color mixing, camouflage, and rabbits. This week we only have one day because of Spring Break. We will be doing some activities with jelly beans. Please remember we will be having an Easter egg hunt during the last half hour of class. Parents and siblings are invited to attend. If you would like to help hide the eggs, please arrive at 10:45 for the morning class or 2:15 for the afternoon class. I won't know until tomorrow whether it will be inside or outside.

If you are celebrating Holy Week, please include your child. The schedule is below. We have looked at all of the Stations of the Cross. Let your child tell you about them. Jesus wants all of us to tell others about him. Let your child evangelize to you. He/She may just need some pictures or the actual Stations to help jog his/her memory.

Thank you to all who helped with the Fish Fries or came and ate. We appreciate you helping to support our school!

Tips for Parents from Preschool Teachers

Tip #13. Prioritize play. Preschool teachers said over and over that kids today are less able to play imaginatively than kids of a decade or two ago. "Too much of their day is structured in supervised activities," says Haines. The antidote: Get comfortable saying "Go play." It's not your job to see that your child is entertained 24/7. Let her get a little bored. But make sure she has items like dress-up clothes, paint and paper, a big cardboard box, and play dough.

Thank you again for sharing your child with us. We are honored to help them grow in their knowledge of Jesus and the world he created! Have a blessed Easter!

Sincerely,

Pamela Nunnelley
