3 Year Olds Newsletter

Dear Parent,

This week we will be hearing the Easter story and bringing home a magazine to share it with you. 
Before the break, your child put some bean seeds in a baggie with wet cotton balls to see if we could get them to sprout. They will be bringing them home today for you to plant. We will also plant some at school. We will be reading I Will Never, Not Ever, Eat a Tomato and Growing Vegetable Soup. We will be making vegetable soup on Thursday. Please send in one canned vegetable item that your child can add to the soup on Thursday. Our learning goals are: I can listen to a story, I can take a courtesy bite, I can sort foods by healthy and not healthy, I can sequence how a plant grows, I can help make soup, and I can plant a seed.

Tip#15 for Parents From Preschool Teachers
Encourage teamwork. If your child is fighting over a toy with another child, set a timer for five minutes, suggests Buss. Tell one child he can have the toy until he hears the buzzer, and then it will be the other child's turn.
